The University of New Mexico has partnered with PaymentWorks to handle the collection, validation, and management of all payee information. PaymentWorks is a cloud-based payee onboarding solution that is both easy and free for the payee to use. Payees will receive an invitation to register and enter all of their information safely and securely. Once the payee completes the registration or update process through PaymentWorks, the Vendor Maintenance Team will capture and enter the information in Banner for updates to Chrome River or LoboMart as needed. This new process applies to new payees and updates to existing payee records.
UNM departments will continue to submit requests through LoboMart using the Vendor Add/Change Request Form. Once PaymentWorks is fully implemented, the payee’s W-9, and mailing address will no longer be required. The payee’s name and email address will be required so that a PaymentWorks registration invitation may be sent. Departments should let the payee know to expect the PaymentWorks invitation email. Once the payee submits the completed registration through PaymentWorks, the Vendor Maintenance Team will enter the information in Banner for updates to Chrome River or LoboMart as needed. The Banner Id will then be entered on the Vendor Add/Change Request Form and the approved form will be sent to the initiator. If a vendor doesn’t submit the PaymentWorks registration, the Vendor Add/Change Request Form will be returned to the initiator requesting vendor contact.
